History of the College of Education for Human Sciences

Talking about the College of Education for Human Sciences has a long history. If we look back at the history of this college, we can say that it was established in the early years of 1996-1997 AD. The College of Education was initially part of Al-Qadisiyah University and began its academic journey by opening three departments: the Arabic Language Department, the Geography Department, and the History Department. Later on, the English Language Department and the Educational and Psychological Sciences Department were inaugurated. After becoming independent from Al-Qadisiyah University by establishing Wasit University, a Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education was created. The college progressed in front of the community, and students from all provinces of Iraq started to enroll. It is worth mentioning that postgraduate studies were introduced in all scientific departments for Master’s, Ph.D., and post-doctoral studies.

May success be granted by God,
