تعد مناهج التاريخ وسيلة من وسائل بناء الشخصية العراقية المنفتحة التي لا تؤمن بالتطرف والانقلاب الفكري, وتؤمن بالحوار والانفتاح على الاَخر، وحق الانسان في العيش المشترك بسلام ،وتعزيز قيمة الانتماء للأرض, استلهاماً من تاريخنا الثر, وما تضمنه صفحاته من قيم إنسانية، ومثل عليا وتسامح مع الاَخر في حقبه المختلفة.
ثانياً:- الرسالة:
تتمثل رسالة مناهج التاريخ على إيجاد سبل وسائل رصينة في دراسة التاريخ الانساني دراسة شاملة مستندة على استلهام القيم الحضارية والإنسانية والأخلاقية، والتأكيد على دور الطالب في عملية التعليم كونه محور العملية التعليمية والتربوية في المرحلة الجامعية. وكذلك إعداد كوادر تدريسية مؤمنة بقيم النظام التربوي والتعليمي في العراق الذي يستند إلى مبادئ دستور العراق الجديد , والافادة من كل الخبرات العالمية في مجال مناهج التاريخ , لاسيما مناهج الدول التي تتشابه في تكوينها الاجتماعي مع العراق.
ثالثاً :- الأهداف:
1- الافادة من علم التاريخ في تنمية مهارات التفكير الحر القائم على دراسة وتحليل الوقائع التاريخية، وإعادة تركيبها لدى الطلبة بغية الوصول إلى الحقائق التاريخية على اساس أن التاريخ علم له قواعده واصوله الخاصة .
2- تنمية القدرة على نقد الأفكار والآراء و الروايات التاريخية بهدف بناء شخصية الطالب المستقلة القادرة على تحليل الحوادث التاريخية وفهمها والإفادة في فهم الواقع الماثل ومحاولة استشراق المستقبل.
3- الإطلاع على تجارب البشرية ، وخبرات الإنسان وتجاربه عبر العصور، بما يمنح الطالب فهماً واضحاً وادراكاً لصيرورة ومسير المجتمعات الإنسانية عبر التاريخ ، فيتبين له تجسد ارادة الخالق ورعايته لتلك المسيرة الطويلة , لتعزيز قيم العيش المشترك لديه ، والإفادة من تلك التجارب والخبرات في بناء مجتمع عراقي منسجم مع ذاته تسوده روح المحبة والتسامح التي تتسم بها شعوب العالم المتحضر .
4- تمكين الطالب من التعرف على الذات بموضوعية وتجرد، والانفتاح على الاَخر بغية وضع حوادث التاريخ وقضاياه في نصابها الصحيح , الأمر الذي ييسر حل اشكاليات تاريخية ماثلة إلى اليوم تلقي بظلالها الثقيلة على المشهد السياسي والاجتماعي والثقافي.
5- منح الطالب القدرة على اداراك وفهم رسالة الانسان في الارض، وغرض وجوده المتمثل في عبادة الله وإعمار الأرض وادراك رسالات السماء للإنسان عبر العصور .
6- تزويد الطالب بمهارات واَليات البحث التاريخي بما يجعله متقناً للعلم الذي تخصص فيه , وما يتبعه ذلك من قدرة على فهم وادراك الحاضر، ومحاولة استشراق المستقبل.
Vision, Mission and Objectives of the History Department
First:- Vision
The history curricula are a means of building an open Iraqi identity that does not believe in extremism or ideological upheaval, and believes in dialogue and openness to others, as well as the human right to live together in peace, and enhancing the value of belonging to the land, inspired by our rich history and the humanitarian values, noble ideals, and tolerance towards others contained in its pages throughout different eras.
Secondly:- The Message:
The message of history curricula is to find solid means to study human history in a comprehensive manner based on the inspiration of cultural, humanitarian, and moral values, and to emphasize the role of the student in the educational process as the core of the educational and pedagogical process at the university level. Additionally, it aims to prepare teaching staff who are committed to the values of the educational system in Iraq, which is based on the principles of the new Iraqi constitution, and to benefit from global experiences in the field of history curricula, especially from the curricula of countries that share a similar social composition with Iraq.
Thirdly: – Objectives:
1- To benefit from the science of history in developing skills of free thinking based on the study and analysis of historical facts, and reconstructing them among students in order to reach historical truths on the basis that history is a science with its own rules and principles.
2- To develop the ability to criticize ideas, opinions, and historical narratives with the aim of building an independent student personality capable of analyzing and understanding historical events and benefiting in understanding the present reality and attempting to foresee the future.
3- To examine human experiences, human knowledge, and experiences throughout the ages, which provides the student with a clear understanding and awareness of the process and journey of human societies throughout history, showing them the embodiment of the Creator’s will and His care for that long journey, to enhance values of coexistence within themselves, and to benefit from those experiences in building a harmonious Iraqi society characterized by the spirit of love and tolerance exhibited by the civilized peoples of the world.
4- To enable the student to recognize themselves objectively and impartially, and to open up to others in order to place historical events and issues in their proper context, which facilitates solving historical problems that still cast heavy shadows on the political, social, and cultural scene today.
5- To grant the student the ability to comprehend and understand humanity’s message on earth, and the purpose of their existence represented in worshiping God, flourishing the earth, and understanding divine messages to humanity throughout the ages.
6- To provide the student with skills and methods of historical research, making them proficient in the field of study they specialize in, which consequently increases their ability to understand the present and attempt to foresee the future.
